A short version, in plain words.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to remember. That is genuinely all it is. It is not a camera, and it is not a personality profile.

Some cookies are needed for a site to work at all. Most are optional. This page says which is which, so you can decide rather than guess.

01On This Website

This is the part you can check today, and the answer is unusually short.

  • about.wobblefly.com sets no cookies.
  • It runs no analytics, no advertising scripts, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds.
  • It stores exactly one thing in your browser's local storage: your language choice, so the site remembers it next time. That never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear site data.

02What Cookies Are For

Across the WobbleFly apps and site, cookies and similar technologies fall into a few plain categories.

  • Essential — keeps the Service running. Without these, signing in or sending a Message simply does not work.
  • Sign-in — remembers that you are signed in, so you are not asked for a password on every page.
  • Security — helps spot suspicious activity and protects accounts from automated attacks and fraud.
  • Preferences — remembers choices you made, such as language, and choices that affect what you see.
  • Measurement — helps us understand whether a feature is useful. WobbleFly does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

The apps also use technologies that are similar to cookies but are not cookies, such as device storage and identifiers kept by the app on your phone. [Analytics tooling, or 'none']

03Third Parties

WobbleFly does not run advertising networks, and we do not let third parties place tracking pixels or read cookies in the apps.

We do use providers for things like hosting, delivering email and push notifications, and storing your media. Those providers receive the information they need in order to do that job and nothing more. The list is [List of service providers and data processors]

04Controlling Cookies

Every major browser lets you see and clear cookies, and block them for particular sites. The settings are usually under Privacy, Cookies, or Site Data, and clearing them takes one click.

You can also block third-party cookies, or use a private or incognito window, which is a good way to see a site as a first-time visitor.

If essential and sign-in cookies are disabled, expect the Service to stop working in the normal way: you may be signed out repeatedly, Messages may not send, and you may not be able to reach your account. Nothing about your content is lost, but you will not be able to use the parts that need to know who you are.

Blocking measurement cookies does not reduce what you can do. It only means we learn less about how the product is used.

05If This Changes

If WobbleFly starts using a new category of cookie, or a new provider, this page will say so, and we will ask for consent first wherever the law requires it.
